Approval of Statutes and Launch of Website

On 5 August 2026, the Dicastery for Culture and Education formally approved the Statutes of Mater Ecclesiae College together with the Plan of Studies for the Baccalaureate in Theology (STB) and the Licence in Theology (STL), which forms an Appendix to the Statutes. This is a historic moment and a cause for rejoicing and thanksgiving. The Prefect of the Dicastery, Cardinal José Tolentino de Mendonça, said: ‘We are very pleased to see this successful completion of the transfer of the Faculties from Heythrop College to Mater Ecclesiae College’.

Looking forward, with God’s grace, to the future development of the College, this new freestanding website was subsequently launched on 20 August 2026. Mary, Mater Ecclesiae, pray for us!
